GALAPALOOZA!

Get ready for GALAPALOOZA, a Galentine's Day Bash!

On Friday, February 9th, 2024, join us from 7PM to midnight at the Grand Hotel in Carleton Place for a celebration in honour of women and friendship!

This is a sold-out event! We’ll be hosting 275 women celebrating friendships with a night on the town.  We’ll have lots of fun stuff happening at this gals-only event, like face glitter, hair tinsel, henna hand art, custom cocktails & mocktails, charcuterie style snacks, a photo booth, great tunes courtesy of our woman DJ, and lots more!

Think of this one-of-a-kind event as part dance party, part carnival, part mardi gras. And all fabulous.

*Galentine’s Day is formally observed on February 13 – the day before Valentine’s Day – as a day to celebrate women’s friendships. Conceived by the writers of the television show Parks and Recreation and popularized in an episode of the series back in 2010, the concept caught the popular imagination and Galentine’s Day events have since been celebrated annually around the world.

FAQ:

  • Will there be seating/tables available?
    • Because we’re not doing a sit-down dinner, we opted to have a combination of seating arrangements, including a mix of round tables and chairs, cocktail tables, and couches/lounge-style seating, for when you’re looking to take a break from the dance  floor.
  • What should I wear?
    •  We’re encouraging women to wear something that makes them feel glam and fabulous, but wear whatever you’d like to wear out dancing! Something comfortable that makes you feel good and that you can move in.
  • What is included in my ticket price?
    • Charcuterie-style snack food will be available throughout the evening, and you’ll have the opportunity to take complimentary photos at our photo booth. Additional services will be available for a small fee and a cash bar will be open all night.
  • What should I bring with me that night?
    • Ticket (either on your phone or printed off)
    • Small purse (debit and credit available at the bar, bring cash for vendor items that you wish to purchase)
    • Dancing shoes!
  • I didn’t buy my ticket in time! Can I still get in?
    • Unfortunately our tickets are sold out, however we are keeping a Waiting List should we have any tickets come available.
    •  To join the waitlist, just visit the link here: https://bit.ly/galapaloozatickets – it will take you to Eventbrite, and while the event will say that ticket sales have ended, if you click on the “Get Tickets” button on the right, you’ll see a button at the bottom that will allow you to join the waitlist.

About The Grove Collective:

The Grove Collective was founded in January of 2023 by us – Jane Hamilton-Eaton and Vanessa Wylie. Feeling overwhelmed and burned out by busy lives, and also isolated – disconnected from ourselves and from other women, we longed for a supportive community of women to share experiences and insights with, and we suspected other women might be feeling the same way.

We decided to build that community – to create space to tell stories, share resources and information, and bring women of all ages together socially.

We host regular events to help connect women with other women, and with information and skills to support them to thrive.

You can find out more about what we do by visiting our website or finding us on Facebook and on Instagram.
